Huangshan two sessions lay out detailed work plans for 2025

From Jan 11 to 15, the 5th session of the eighth Huangshan Municipal People's Congress and the 4th session of the eighth Huangshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) were held, during which detailed arrangements were made for the work in the upcoming year.

The year of 2025 marks a crucial year for wrapping up the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25). Huangshan is set to further drive high-quality development, deepen comprehensive reforms, and construct a modern industrial system that harmonizes with the ecological environment, cultural heritage, and unique characteristics of Huangshan.

The government work report states the need to accelerate technological innovation and the development of new quality productive forces.

It also highlights the integrated development of culture and tourism and the establishment of the cultural tourism industry as a pillar industry.

Huangshan will also promote rural vitalization, with industrial revitalization being a top priority in rural development.

The planting area of grain has remained stable at over 765,000 mu (50,400 hectares), with a total output of 295 million kilograms. The comprehensive output value of the tea industry exceeds 30 billion yuan ($4billion).
