March 1 is the second day of the second lunar month and day of the "Dragon Heads Up" in Chinese tradition. It marks the awakening of dragons and the start of spring. Huangshan has prepared a variety of celebrations for the occasion. Don't miss out on these exciting cultural events!
On March 1, admire plum blossoms, partake in a village feast, make fish lanterns, and print plum blossoms from 11:30-16:30. A fish and dragon parade will be held from 18:30-19:30 in Zhanqi village, Beian town, Shexian county.

From 18:30-20:00 on Feb 28 and March 1, a grass dragon dance folk performance will be held in Shuyuan village, Qiankou town, Huizhou district.
From 9:00-10:30 and from 18:00-19:00 on March 1, Xingcun village and Xianyuan town in Huangshan district, along with Beian village in Shexian county, will hold a series of performances such as dragon dances and fish lantern displays.
In Yixian Ancient City, a flower market, a street performance and a fire dragon dance will be held from 18:00-18:30.
