14 Huangshan scenic spots offer half-price tickets for foreign tourists

Huangshan will offer half-price tickets throughout the year for foreign tourists at 14 4A-level or above fee-charging scenic spots, including Mount Huangshan Scenic Area, Hongcun and Xidi villages.

Additionally, the city plans to launch over 80 chartered flights to Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and Ho Chi Minh City in the second quarter.

The news was released at a tourism press conference held on March 21. In order to stimulate consumption, Huangshan plans to distribute consumer vouchers worth 100 million yuan ($13.7 million) in the second quarter.

The head of the Huangshan municipal bureau of cultural and tourism highlighted the initiatives undertaken in the first quarter, including the "FUN Explore Huangshan" short video competition, the introduction of various spring tour routes, and the offering of free tickets to attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage site Huangshan and Xidi and Hongcun village, totaling 27.61 million yuan in tourism vouchers distributed citywide.

Starting in the second quarter, the city will provide discounts to visitors attending large music festivals and watching tourism performances. Some innovative travel experiences will bel implemented, including "Traveling with Microdramas" and "Traveling with Sports Events", aiming to stimulate consumption by integrating cultural elements with tourism and collaborating across various industries.

Huangshan will also optimize visa-free procedures and pre-check processes, introduce smart declaration devices for entry cards, enhance foreign language signage systems, and provide electronic maps for foreign currency exchange services at airports, high-speed rail stations, and key scenic spots.
