As the first domestic destination to adopt these advanced vertical models, Mount Huangshan is setting new standards in smart tourism.
In September last year, Mount Huangshan Scenic Area partnered with Alipay to create China's first "AI travel assistant" destination. This innovative AI system provides travelers with guidance, explanations, taxi services, nearby dining recommendations, and business suggestions throughout the journey.
AI customer service is available 24/7, boasting an accuracy rate of 99.9 percent in addressing visitor queries. The new voice command feature allows visitors to purchase tickets with a simple sentence, increasing ticketing efficiency by 50 percent.
On-site services feature dynamically recommended ticketing, transportation, hotel accommodations, and tour services based on the visitor's current location.
The AI travel assistant can identify landmarks from visitor-uploaded photos, generating multilingual explanations. It can also provide explanations of nearby attractions based on the visitor's location.
Additionally, real-time updates on nearby restaurants, local specialty stores, discounts, and more are sent via WeChat and Alipay subscription messages. After the Huangshan journey, visitors can create personalized travel diaries with the assistance of the assistant.
