Huangshan city has achieved national recognition with three projects listed in the "2025 Integrated Transport-Tourism Innovation Initiative" by the China Highway and Transportation Society.

The World Heritage Scenic Byway, Chengkan Open Service Area, and Taiping Slow Trail Landscape Gallery showcase Huangshan's pioneering efforts in blending transport infrastructure with tourism.

The 60.15-kilometer World Heritage Scenic Byway winds through Huangshan's western foothills, linking UNESCO sites like Hongcun and Xidi villages. Upgraded with EV chargers, viewpoints, and cultural exhibits, the route transforms highways into immersive experiences. High-end homestays including Xihe Homestay and Youlanli blend Huizhou architecture with modern comforts.

On the G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway, the Chengkan Service Area redefines pit stops. Its open design allows seamless access to Chengkan Ancient Village and nearby attractions, creating a 20-minute tourism loop. With Huizhou-themed architecture, local product markets, and a campground, it turns transit hubs into destinations in and of themselves.

Meanwhile, the Taiping Slow Trail Landscape Gallery offers a 15.4-km waterside path for hikers and cyclists, connecting 13 cultural sites and boosting local businesses. Linked to the scenic spots via highways, these projects form a "golden area" of eco-tourism.
