Local farmers engage in a diverse range of agricultural activities, cultivating crops such as persimmons, pears, chrysanthemums, yellow peaches, and medicinal green calyx plums - each playing a unique role in driving the town's prosperity.
Green calyx plums, a signature product of Shangfeng with significant medicinal value, are grown across 3,150 mu (210 hectares), yielding over 136 tons of dried flowers annually and generating an output value of 20 million yuan ($2.79 million).
Take farmer Song Jinzhi, for instance, who earns 7,000 to 8,000 yuan per season from yellow peaches, a vivid example of how these crops can enhance individual livelihoods. Additionally, persimmons and pears serve as crucial pillars of the local economy.

Township officials are deepening the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. Plans include strengthening brand building, improving product quality, and reviving idle resources to increase their value.
With tech-driven sustainable farming, Shangfeng is evolving into a dynamic hub, where clear waters, lush mountains, and abundant harvests collectively create a thriving rural landscape.
