The Yanghu Branch of Huangshan Demonstration Kindergarten is nearing completion and will soon offer 180 more preschool seats.
Construction started in November 2024 and is now nearing completion. The interior work, such as decoration and utilities, is finished, while outdoor paving is almost done. Furniture and teaching equipment are currently being installed.
"We are now focusing on final adjustments and air quality checks," said Wang Yunhai, chief engineer of the project. The facility, costing 27 million yuan ($3.8 million) and including an underground parking lot, is expected to fully open around Aug 10.
The new kindergarten will help alleviate preschool shortages in Yanghu, providing improved educational access for local families.
