Nestled in Huangshan, the southern part of Anhui province, Xidi village is a UNESCO World Heritage site that has preserved the charm of Huizhou culture for more than 900 years. Known for its iconic whitewashed walls and black-tiled roofs, the village blends historic architecture with a picturesque rural landscape.

Walking through its narrow alleys and courtyards, visitors are greeted by rows of traditional residences, where intricate wood, stone, and brick carvings showcase the artistry of generations past.

Unlike museum pieces, these homes remain vibrant living spaces, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythms of Huizhou people's lives.

Nature and architecture coexist in harmony here. Behind the village, green mountains provide shelter and cool breezes, while a stream winds through the settlement, nourishing fields and households alike.

Each season brings a new backdrop: in spring, fields of golden rapeseed flowers surround the village; in summer, lotus blossoms fill the ponds; in autumn, golden rice fields signal the harvest; and in winter, snow gently blankets rooftops.

Xidi is more than a historic village — it is a living canvas where tradition, community, and nature converge, allowing people to experience the lasting beauty of Huizhou.
