Huangshan is not only a renowned tourism destination but also a national hub for the processing and distribution of stinky mandarin fish. The city has developed a complete industry chain, making it the second-largest agricultural specialty in the region after tea.
However, the journey to international markets was not easy. Technical trade barriers, complex regional quality control, and a lack of overseas market awareness had long hindered exports.
Overcoming these obstacles required collaboration between research teams and the local producer, Huangshan Huimu Industrial Co. By refining traditional techniques and standardizing production, they successfully met both international standards and preserved the authentic taste.

Huangshan Customs played a key role by implementing a full-chain quality monitoring system, ensuring the safety and traceability of the product.
With this support, the stinky mandarin fish successfully entered the Singapore market, where it has already gained recognition in Chinese supermarkets and high-end dining channels.
