4 Xiamen companies among top 500 Chinese listed companies

Four Xiamen-based companies, with a combined worth of 512.2 billion yuan ($79.29 billion), were included on the list of the top 500 Chinese listed companies by market value in 2020, 21st Century Business Herald reported on Jan 5.

Among the four companies, Anta Group reported a total market value of 279.6 billion yuan, followed by Sanan Optoelectronics, Yealink, and Anjoy Foods, each of which has a market value of 121 billion yuan, 66 billion yuan, and 45.6 billion yuan respectively.

Anta Group, a leading Chinese sportswear company, saw its revenue less affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with its revenue for the first half of 2020 decreasing by 1 percent year-on-year to 14.67 billion yuan.

Sanan Optoelectronics mainly operates in the research and development of compound semiconductor materials. The company reported an operation revenue of 5.9 billion yuan in the first three quarters of last year, bringing in a net profit of 938 million yuan.

Xiamen-headquartered Yealink, a global brand that specializes in video conferencing, voice communications, and collaboration solutions, witnessed a huge growth in the remote office market due to the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year. Its main business income expanded 5.66 percent year-on-year to 1.96 billion yuan from January to September of 2020.

Fujian Anjoy Foods is a company that mainly produces quick-frozen food. In the first three quarters of last year, Anjoy Foods' business revenue reached 4.49 billion yuan, up almost 28.4 percent year-on-year. During this period, its net profit reached 380 million yuan, up 59.2 percent year-on-year, according to its earnings report.
