The second International Conference on Intelligent Equipment and Robotics was held in Suzhou New District on Dec 22, local media outlets reported.
Scholars and experts from China as well as the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia attended the conference and shared insights related to intelligent manufacturing and equipment, intelligent robots, and high-end medical equipment.
The conference was aimed at providing an in-depth learning and exchange platform for domestic and overseas researchers and developers in the intelligent equipment and robot fields to further deepen research on core technologies in intelligent equipment, promote the transformation and application of advanced technologies, and better serve the development needs of strategic emerging industries.
Shan Zhongde, a scholar of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and head of the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, said that intelligent equipment and robots are important representatives of the advanced manufacturing industry. He proposed the strengthening of international education cooperation in these fields and sharing with the world the development achievements and experience of the intelligent manufacturing industry so that intelligence can inject new impetus into the manufacturing industry.
