With a cultivation area exceeding 10,667 hectares and an annual production surpassing 550,000 metric tons, Pingle persimmons have gained popularity in both domestic and international markets, becoming a sought-after export in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States.
The success of the Pingle persimmon industry has also led to the development of related sectors, such as rural tourism, transportation, packaging, and express delivery. This provides significant employment opportunities for local residents. The acquisition of a geographical indication certification for "Pingle Persimmon" will further enhance the brand's visibility and competitiveness.
Pingle county is committed to the development of the persimmon industry, and it will continue to innovate and research new products, such as frozen persimmons, persimmon vinegar, and persimmon enzymes.
The county is currently planning to construct a national-level modern agriculture industrial park that focuses on persimmons. The county also plans to introduce more advanced processing techniques and equipment into the persimmon industry, aiming to improve the quality of related products.
