Introduction to Guilin

Guilin, situated at the northeastern part of Guangxi, covers an area of 27,800 square kilometers, composed of 17 counties (cities, districts) with a total population of 5.4 million people.

Guilin governs six districts, ten counties, and one county-level city — Haishu district, Xiufeng district, Diecai district, Xiangshan district, Qixing district, Yanshan district, Lingui district, Yangshuo county, Lingchuan county, Quanzhou county, Xing'an county, Yongfu county, Guanyang county, Longsheng county, Ziyuan county, Pingle county, Gongcheng county, and Lipu city.

Longyinju

Longyinju

Longyinju, a four-act play in the Guilin dialect, is set during the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, depicting the intertwined fates of people living in an old house in Guilin during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

On Oct 28, Guilin was honored as the first city in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region to join the prestigious "Cities with Nature" platform, announced during the Convention on Biological Diversity COP16's eighth local governments and cities summit.
