Guishan Island

Yet another of the 10 major islands of Zhuhai, Guishan was named after the heroic PLA Guishan Warship which fought to liberate the island in the Wanshan Sea Battle in the early 1950s. 

Located on the east side of the Pearl River Estuary, the island features scenic spots such as the Disembarkation Site of the Guishan Warship Heroes, Guishan Martyrs Memorial Park, Wen Tianxiang (a national hero of the Southern Song dynasty) Memorial Park, Guishan Lighthouse, Xiaodongshan Ecological Park, Seaview Pavilion, net cages and fish rafts. There also are star hotels and seafood restaurants on the island.

Transport: Bus 11 or 56 to Xiangzhou Port; ferries depart at 8:40 am, 9:10 am and 2:20 pm.
