Zhuhai's meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions industry received two MICE Industry Goldfinger Awards at the 3rd China Events (MICE) Industry Fair held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on Aug 16.
The city of Zhuhai took the "Destination for the Most Valuable MICE Brand" award for 2017. In addition, the biennial China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition was named the "Most Influential Professional Trade Fair." A Goldfinger Award is the top honor in the domestic MICE industry.
An exclusive stand was set up to showcase the new image of Zhuhai's MICE industry during the fair. Last December, the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center in Shizimen won the year's China MICE Industry Goldfinger Award.
Composed of major industrial enterprises, the Zhuhai delegation included the Zhuhai Convention & Exhibition Group, Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center, China Travel Service Gongbei Port Guangdong Co Ltd, CTS HK (Zhuhai) Ocean Spring Resort, Zhuhai Airlines Co Ltd, and Zhuhai Youth International Travel Service Co Ltd.

While highlighting the new advantages of Zhuhai's MICE industry, the enterprises sought communication and cooperation with international convention and exhibition organizations.
The economic return of the MICE industry in Zhuhai played a key role in the growth of the national economy. Direct and indirect revenues totaled 13.4 billion yuan ($2 billion), of which 10.5 billion yuan ($1.6 billion) came from the exhibition industry and 2.9 billion yuan ($435 million) from the convention industry, according to the 2016 Zhuhai Convention & Expo Bureau report on the MICE industry.
In the second half of this year, Zhuhai will host the China-Latin America International Expo, ChinaBio Partnering Forum, Silk Road International Economic Forum, and International Congress of the Chinese Orthopedic Association.
