Sanzao industry parks served by new power station

Jinhe Substation in Sanzao Town went online on Aug 11 to meet the increased demand for industrial electricity brought about by rapid development. It brings to 16 the number of 220 kV supply stations in Zhuhai, according to the Power Supply Bureau.

The station is the second of its kind to serve business operations in the southeast of Jinwan District. It is to power Zhuhai Aviation, Sanzao Science & Technology (including Qinshi), and Qingwan industrial parks, plus Gold Coast Bio Park.

An important hub in the Zhuhai power grid, the station utilizes new green technologies to save energy and reduce consumption. Its construction optimizes designs for architecture's indoor wind environment, shapes and envelopes, slope vegetation protection, and recycling of rainwater for irrigation. A selection of green equipment and materials results in resource conservation and environmental friendliness, said a project head.
