Zhuhai Singyes takes lead in green B&R initiative

updated : 2017-11-27

A Tangjiawan green-energy company that already has made significant achievements along China's Belt & Road Initiative has much to contribute during ongoing high-end exchanges on international economic and trade cooperation.

China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Ltd, based at the Technological Innovation Coast of the Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan), is one of 22 companies participating in the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Forum on International Communication & Chinese (Guangdong) Companies Going Global. It is to be held at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center from Nov 28 to 30.

Among the accomplishments of Singyes Green Building Technology is a 2MW photovoltaic power station in Tongatapu, capital of the Kingdom of Tonga. This October, the company's first venture in the South Pacific bought about the first large-scale independent power production system in the country.

More than 2.8 million kWh of clean energy can be generated annually, accounting for 6 percent of the Tonga's electricity demand. This will supply at least a thousand households.

The Republic of Cameroon in West Africa is also benefiting from Singyes. A line of photovoltaic smart micro-grids was constructed by Singyes Green Building Technology in a continuous stream, converting light energy into electricity for the nearby presidential palace and other places.

The company also won a 1 billion yuan ($151 million) contract to design, build, and operate a 100-megawatt grid-connected PV power station in Samarqand, Uzbekistan at the end of 2016.

Singyes has entered the market in many countries and regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Europe, and North America. The proportion of its overseas business is estimated to exceed 20 percent in 2017, most of which is along the Belt & Road.

R&D over past two decades has earned the company the honor of being a High & New-Technology Enterprise (HNTE). It specializes in green building technology, renewable energy, new materials, and solar PV integrated ecological agricultural products.

Zhuhai Singyes Green Building Technology was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Singyes Solar to engage in green-building.

Meanwhile, the R&D building of Zhuhai Singyes New-Energy Industrial Park in Tangjiawan became the city's first to obtain the Platinum Certificate for LEED Building Design & Construction (LEED BD+C:NC) in August. The designation recognizes high-performance green architecture.

Furthermore, the company has been involved in the formulation of 88 solar photovoltaic standards, including four international, 30 national, 14 industrial, and 37 local ones.
