Ag park in Lianzhou all set to delight kids of all ages

Lianzhou Town continues to make its mark as a major Zhuhai tourist and leisure attraction site with added family activities and festivals throughout the nationwide Feb 15-21 Lunar New Year vacation period and beyond.

Shili Lianjiang Agriculture Sightseeing & Experience Garden in the Doumen District town will, for the first time, offer visitors a chance to feed and pet the gentlest of its healthy animals. Present should be long-haired South American alpacas, spotted Dalmatian dogs, big-eared Nubian goats, antlered deer, ostentatious peacocks, flightless Australian emus, child-height ponies, baby ring-tailed raccoons, burrowing marmot rodents, and proud turkeys. Pet Paradise covers about 25 acres of the garden.

Also on the program are farming and rural sightseeing and special parent-child activities. These include a father-son team kart racing competition.

Frolicking Dalmatians

Traditional Chinese cultures can be experienced at garden parties, cheongsam (tight-fitting slit dresses; Mandarin: qipao) shows, god of wealth Cai Shen welcoming the Chinese New Year, the Village Food Fest, Festival of Lights, and finally, Lantern Festival celebrations beginning on March 2. The stunning lights show will boost the festive atmosphere amidst a sea of winter jasmines and purple-red-pink-white galsang flowers to herald the coming of spring.

In recent years, Shili Lijiang has become an integrated tourist scenic spot for eco-agriculture sightseeing, farming experiences, leisure and vacation, popular science education, and healthful living.

This holiday's park activities were announced at a press conference held in Zhuhai Mall at Shangchong of New Xiangzhou on Jan 30.
