Ximo of Zhuhai is keeping public safe all over China

Shanghai Disney Resort has recently joined Zhuhai Opera House, Beijing Sub Center, and 600 other urban complexes, transportation hubs, municipal projects, medical education institutions, hotels, and convention centers throughout China that rely upon a Tangjiawan firm to guide their visitors to safety during fire emergencies.

They all use the Fire-Bus intelligent fire evacuation system independently developed by Ximo Electric Inc of Zhuhai in Southern Software Park of the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

With a centralized power supply within a mainframe, the system's exit signs and emergency lights are controlled in real time by Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. In the event of a catastrophic fire, external information is assessed, and a pre-set smoke avoidance and evacuation mechanism is activated. Nearby exits are automatically altered to provide safer, more accurate, and faster egress. The data is also shared with Smart City systems.

For example, if the left of a building is ablaze, exit signs and emergency lights on that side turn off, and those on the right come on. This can be enormously helpful in large exhibition halls and hospitals where it can be difficult to find appropriate exits among so many passageways, declared Fu Xiang, president of the company.

"This new dynamic evacuation guidance concept breaks through the traditional static evacuation guidance," states the company website.

The system at Shanghai Disney Resort ensures the safety of 20,000 visitors daily, while producing annual revenue of 50 million yuan ($7.9 million) for Ximo.

Ximo was established in Zhuhai in 2010. It has a scientific research and production base of more than 5,000 sq m (1.24 acres) and service outlets in 32 provinces and municipalities across the country. It was listed on the New Third Board, a national share transfer system for small and medium-sized enterprises, in 2016.

A domestic leader in firefighting solutions, the company provides more than 90 different products under four categories, all with independent intellectual property rights.
