Gree Electric Appliances' state-of-the-art air conditioners earned three Gold Awards and three Special Prizes at one of the world's largest inventor's fairs. The 46th International Exhibition of Inventions was held in Geneva, Switzerland from April 11 to 15.
The independently developed photovoltaic direct-driven inverter multi VRF air conditioner won the Gold Award and the Gold Medal with congratulations from the jury. These are yet another indicator of the air conditioners' pioneering performance, particularly in terms of energy efficiency.
The second Gold Award was for high-speed permanent magnet synchronous inverter centrifugal chillers. The product also received the Thailand Award for the Best International Invention from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The high-quality products are used at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the most prestigious venue in China for national-level assemblies and large anniversary celebrations, as well as the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

Gree's triple-cylinder two-stage rotary compressor of variable volume ratio, the most powerful "heart" for air conditioner, also won a Gold Award along with an IFIA Best Invention Medal from the International Federation of Inventors Associations. The technology allows air conditioners to achieve superior performance under extreme temperature from -35 to 54 degrees Celsius. Its high heating capacity and high efficiency is reportedly a great technology breakthrough.
This was the first time for Gree to participate in the event, but as the leading manufacturer of electric household appliances in the world, its success was expected.
The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva was founded in 1973 by the Swiss Federal Government, city government of Geneva, and World Intellectual Property Organization. It is regarded as one of the oldest and most important events that recognize and reward innovative talents from around the globe. Now in its 46th year, it took place at the Palexpo and displayed more than 1,000 projects, introducing novel technology and innovative ideas.
