The Zhuhai Orthopedic Consortium was established at the Guangdong Hospital of Tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM) Zhuhai, one of the city's earliest orthopedic centers, on May 25.
Led by the TCM facility, the consortium comprises 30 medical institutions and their resources nationwide. It will upgrade Zhuhai's orthopedic treatment capability with a mix of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, said Yang Renxuan, vice president of the TCM hospital on Jingle Road in Jida.
He's Osteology, an important domestic genre of bone knitting by TCM treatment, will also be available at the hospital. With a history of nearly 400 years, the genre originated in the He family in Mongolia. It has a therapeutic effect in treating closed fractures and joint dislocations.

A representative intangible cultural heritage item of Sichuan Province, He's Osteology will apply competitive therapies to Zhuhai patients and thus serve the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said Shi Biao, an inheritor of He's Osteology.
