Environmental OK sought for hospital site of Jilin U

The proposed site of JUZC (Jilin University Zhuhai College) Zhuhai Hospital is currently undergoing an environmental impact assessment (EIA), according to the Jinwan District website.

The Grade-III Class-A hospital will be located in the West Lake urban area of Sanzao Town, south of Jinwan Interchange near East Airport Road. Costing more than 1 billion yuan ($156.5 million), with the funds independently raised, it is to open within three years.

Phase I will be allocated 630 million yuan ($96.6 million) for the Rehabilitation Complex with 500 beds and 397 parking spaces. The same amount of funding will go to Phase II -- a complex for medical treatment and 500 beds.

Covering 61,640.6 sq m (15.23 acres), the project will create floor space of 189,431 sq m (46.8 acres), including underground area of 34,438 sq m (8.5 acres) and base area of 22,683.7 sq m (5.6 acres). Plot ratio will be 2.51 and greening rate will reach 30 percent.

Zhuhai Jiqun Hospital Management will manage construction.
