The second Guilin Festival - in Guilin city, in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region - will be held from Oct 27 to Nov 5, integrating nature and art within the theme of coexistence.

The 10-day art festival consists of seven sections, featuring 33 performances from 14 countries and regions from around the world.

There will also be over 100 activities and shows to thrill the audiences.

Nearly 70 percent of the performances in this year's art festival will take place outdoors, allowing spectators to enjoy the shows against the backdrop of Guilin's beautiful landscape.

The mountain theater located in Yushan Mountain Park, the water theater in the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area and the cave theater located in Seven Star scenic area, will be set up to present various performances.

In addition to theatrical performances, the art festival will host activities, including a Youth Theater Night, master talks, high-definition theater film screenings and camping concerts.

Moreover, at the Guilin Festival, the audience will not only experience traditional art forms but also appreciate innovative ways of expression.

Director He Nian, from the Shanghai Grand Theater, will present the classic work of Lao She's Camel Xiangzi, which will serve as the opening show of the Guilin Festival.
