The 2024 World Forest and Wood Products Exhibition, along with the 3rd South China Flower and Seedling Trade Fair and the 5th Guangxi Flower and Seedling Trade Fair, opened in Guilin on Oct 19.
The main venue, located at Yaoshan Flower Base in Diecai district, features four exhibition areas and 18 specialized pavilions showcasing the flower and seedling industries of southern provinces. Two sub-venues in Lingui and Xiufeng districts spotlight Guilin's forestry achievements.
The event includes a forestry industry exhibition with six new sections for the first time, including forest tourism, bamboo products, and floral art. It also incorporates cultural elements like a creative market and a floral art display on Lijiang River boats.
The fair attracted over 1,100 exhibitors and featured 2,000 plant varieties, with 700 companies achieving sales totaling 1 billion yuan ($140 million). Attendees included government officials, industry leaders, and representatives from ten provinces and cities.
This event continues to serve as a key platform for China's flower and seedling industry, fostering collaboration and driving high-quality development.
